Round 1 of the Energy Efficiency Grants for Small and Medium Sized Enterprises (SMEs) will open on Monday 6 March 2023.
The grant opportunity provides small and medium businesses up to $25,000 to replace or upgrade existing equipment to improve energy efficiency and reduce costs, such as replacing existing air conditions with high efficiency units or gas heating boilers with heat pumps.
To be eligible to apply you must be an Australian business with less than 200 employees.
Full eligibility criteria and more information about how to apply are available on the Australian Government website.
I recently met with Assistant Minister for Climate Change & Energy Senator Jenny McAllister to talk about how to support households and small businesses to electrify and be more energy efficient, including through grants programs like this.
These grants will be awarded to eligible applicants on a first come, first served basis, so it is very important that you apply for a grant as quickly as possible!
