Since becoming the Member for Indi I have fought tirelessly to improve the standard of integrity in Federal Parliament.
In July, the National Anti-Corruption Commission (NACC) finally opened its doors and
started taking referrals. As of August 28, there have been 738 referrals to the NACC.My work on integrity continues.
I was pleased to participate in the National Integrity Summit in Melbourne this week, hosted by Transparency International. I spoke on a panel titled ‘Speaking out: The role of whistle-blowers in Australia’.
I will continue to work constructively with the government to strengthen whistleblower protections that will enhance the work of the National Anti-Corruption Commission.
