The new hospital development in Albury/Wodonga is a crucial issue for the Border community and those in the surrounding region who rely on its services. We know a hospital is only as good as the staff it
employs, and we face many challenges when attracting and retaining the healthcare workforce we need for our growing population.I’ve been working with Albury/Wodonga Health, our regional universities and TAFE to come up with a solution to our healthcare worker shortage.
Now I’m calling on the Federal Government to come to the table and invest $250,000 to kick start our proposal that brings together clinical practice, education, training and research right here on the Border.
