This is the sight that faced one of the members of my team this morning in order to get to work after the weekend of rain we have had. (don’t worry they didn’t drive through it!)

It’s just a small example of the huge impact of the flooding across the region in the past few days, adding to what we already faced over the past month.

It’s been tough right across Indi, from Wodonga to Acheron and everywhere in between. The roads are bad and there is barely a chance to fix them, and in some places the water recedes only to rise again a week or so later. It’s exhausting.

There is help available from the Federal Government for individuals:

👉Australian Government Disaster Recovery Payment👈
This one-off lump sum payment of $1000 per adult and $400 per child is available if you’ve been significantly affected by Victorian Floods starting in October 2022. You are eligible if you’re in a Local Government Area (LGA) that’s been declared for a disaster and you have experienced major damage to your property or other assets.
