This morning I gave the keynote address at the National Farmers’ Federation Graduation for the Diversity in Agriculture Leadership Program.
It was an absolute pleasure to meet some of the 12 women who graduated from the program, which offers mentoring with industry leaders and a two-day leadership retreat in Canberra.
They are already leaders in their fields, and have committed to furthering their leadership and learning and contributing more and I loved hearing about their journeys.
It was also special to be able to share my experiences with them, and to speak about my grandmother, who ran a successful farm after her husband died young, and speak about the ways in which women have contributed to agriculture for many many years.
I can’t wait to see what these leaders do next!
