This Sunday is Neighbour Day – a day that invites people to celebrate and connect with their neighbours.
It’s been running for more than 20 years and the theme for this year is ‘Create Belonging’.
It’s a chance
to take a moment and think about the people who literally are right around you!The theme it is a call to action for all of us to take every day actions that create belonging in our communities. We can do this by focusing on inclusion and connection, making others welcome, and by building respectful relationships with those around us.
It was so much fun to catch up with Costa Georgiadis Official and my neighbour as an MP Kristy McBain at the Neighbours Every Day event in Parliament House this week! I encourage you all to say hello to your neighbours this weekend (and every weekend!)
