Tomorrow the National Anti Corruption Commission will finally open its doors.

It is an important day in Australia’s political history and we will feel its impact for years to come.

Recent revelations reinforce why it was so important to fight for a strong, independent NACC with retrospective powers and broad jurisdiction which can cover contractors to the Federal Government as well as politicians and public servants.

Yesterday’s NSW ICAC report underscores why it was so important that the NACC have a common set of rules that apply equally irrespective of seniority or rank.
