What a pleasure it was to catch up with all the volunteers at the Mount Beauty Hospital Op Shop when I was in town yesterday.
The op shop is a significant fundraiser for Alpine Health, raising almost half a million dollars for the hospital since they first opened their doors.
One of the biggest items the op shop has been able to purchase for Alpine Health is a state-of-the art digital radiography machine. It means X-Rays taken at the hospital can be digitised and sent to specialists or regional centres.
Next time you’re in Mount Beauty, head into the op shop – there are always some treasures to be found, and you know every dollar is going to a great cause.
