The Upper Murray has faced bushfire tragedy before - and once again the community is rebuilding.
In Corryong, I met with Upper Murray Inc., Corryong Health and locals affected by the Walwa fire, which continues to burn. Hearing directly from people about what they've lost, and what they need to recover.
I'm working to get the fire-affected communities of Bullioh, Burrowye and Lucyvale added to the Australian Government Disaster Recovery Payment.
When Parliament returns next week, bushfire recovery - for the Upper Murray and across our region - will be my top priority.
