Being a teacher is the most important job in the world, and we don't have enough of them.

The good news is that more Australians are choosing to study teaching at uni this year.

This follows the work we've done with states and territories to tackle the teacher workforce shortage.

This includes teaching scholarships, reforms to teacher training and paid prac for teaching students.
