Parliament sits in July and the very first piece of legislation we introduce will cut the student debt of 3 million Australians by 20%.
Student debt is indexed every year on 1 June. That’s this Sunday.
To deliver on our promise and make sure you get the full benefit of the 20% cut, the legislation we introduce will be back-dated to this Sunday 1 June – before indexation occurs.
