AUSTRALIAN HEROS SHOULD BE ON AUSTRALIAN COINS...

Isn't it time we grew up as a nation and put Australian heros on our coins instead of a foreign monarch?

Ralph Honner a distinguished Australian soldier, celebrated for his command of the 39th Battalion during the Kokoda Track Campaign in 1942.

Tubba Tre, an Indigenous warrior and Kalkadoon leader who fought against 'white fella' settlement in NW Queensland.

Surely, the great people that have shaped our nation should be put on our coins before some fella who has only visited our country a hand full of times.

What do you think? What other Australians would be deserving of such an honour?
