No Polices. No Candidates. No Plan

Labor Re-heating Or Copying Health Announcements

Labor’s latest health announcements are either recycling their 2024 election policies or replicating things our Government is already doing, with no detail on how they will find the staff or pay for them.

Our Government is already developing a Masterplan for our district hospitals and community health centres, to ensure they can sustainably meet the needs of the population now and into the future.

And we’re already boosting our ability to treat patients who present to the District Hospital by recruiting 27 new Community Paramedics.

Labor’s plan to put Nurse Practitioners in every District Hospital simply recycles their 2024 election policy, and it still provides absolutely no detail on how they would upskill and pay for them.

If Labor were serious about increasing the number of Nurse Practitioners in Tasmania – instead of recycling policies from the 2024 election – they would immediately match our plan to provide scholarships, up to a maximum of $37,500 per year to support Registered Nurses to upskill and gain their Master of Nurse Practitioners.

They went to the 2024 election promising zero infrastructure investment into Tasmania’s major hospitals, that’s $0 for our four major hospitals around the State – instead offering a weak plan to call Canberra for help.

This election comes down to one choice: a strong Liberal team with a real plan or another merry-go-round of chaos and compromise.

Let’s get on with it.

Let’s finish the job for Tasmania.
