This is not normal - but until we stop burning fossil fuels, it will only become worse and more common.
The coal and gas industry are making billions while we are left to face the consequences, from heatwaves and fires to floods.
Yet the major parties continue to back in these big coal and gas corporations, giving them billions in handouts and approving their massive polluting projects.
We need to stop acting like it's normal for politicians to put corporate profits over people and planet. They should work for you - not coal and gas corporations.
It's time we end new coal and gas and make these big polluters pay for the damage they're causing.
