Today's release of Our Ways - Strong Ways - Our Voices comes after years of dedicated advocacy from First Nations women for a standalone, community-led plan to end violence. Thank you to the tireless advocates who have made this a reality.
We know that solutions designed by communities, for their communities, and delivered in communities are most effective.
This Plan and additional funding is a positive first step. The National Peak Body must now be properly funded, supported and listened to.
The Greens will always fight for full funding for frontline services, intervention and prevention programs, and ensuring victim-survivors are supported to leave violent relationships and to rebuild their lives.
