Ann is passionate about delivering for the South Coast and continuing Joanna Gash’s dedicated service to our region.
Born in Milton, Ann moved to Kiama in 1988 as she recognised it as the perfect place to raise her family. She has lived in the Gilmore electorate for almost 25 years.
From 10 years working as a science teacher and with a Masters of Education, Ann knows the importance of education. She recently mentored student teachers at the University of Wollongong and is passionate about improving opportunities for young people in our region.
Ann owned and operated a manufacturing business with her family for 17 years, which they grew into a successful export company employing 40 people. As a result Ann understands the need for a strong, stable economy to help local businesses grow and create jobs.
For more than two decades Ann has been a dedicated advocate for our local community. In addition to her work with retiring local member Joanna Gash, she has served on Kiama Council, was a member of the Illawarra Regional Development Board, and has been active in the local chambers of commerce and in promoting local tourism.
Through her work in the community, Ann has developed a reputation for getting things done. As part of Tony Abbott’s Liberal team, Ann will continue to work hard to deliver real results for the people of Gilmore.
