Victoria’s corruption commission found that the training was poor because the provider had no experience, and had been chosen for its political connections, and not on merit. When asked the former Health Minister Jenny Mikakos stated that the training contract “was a way of injecting funds into the Health Union”. A training scheme that was supposed to help protect frontline health workers at work was corrupted by the Andrews Government funnelling money to their supporters. This is how Andrews Government corruption costs us all.
