Alyssa Hayden MLA – Member for Darling Range
I grew up in the hills and have lived in Perth’s eastern suburbs throughout my life.
After completing my schooling at Eastern Hills Senior High, I started my first small business at the age of 19.
I married my husband Terry just over 23 years ago. Terry is the owner of a small security business, which keeps me very close to and aware of the issues facing small businesses and hard-working families as they try to get ahead.
I understand how hard it can be to manage a household budget and pay bills when the economy is slow. This is one of the reasons I am so upset with the State Government’s $850 increase to household bills, like power and water.
In 2008, I was elected to the Upper House of State Parliament, representing the East Metropolitan Region. In my eight years as a Member, I was a strong advocate for vital local infrastructure projects, like the upgrades to our highways and freeways.
I hope to have the opportunity to hear from you about the local issues that matter most to you and your family.
