Malinauskas, Tarzia on Men Getting Pregnant Beliefs
Family First’s South Australian Upper House candidate, Deepa Mathew, has called on Premier Peter Malinauskas and Opposition Leader Vincent Tarzia to come clean with voters ahead of the upcoming state election: do they believe men can get pregnant?
Her challenge follows extraordinary remarks made at a parliamentary inquiry into stillbirths, where one of South Australia’s most senior health officials felt compelled to reassure transgender “women” they were included in the discussion on pregnancy loss.
“Families deserve clarity, not woke word games,” Ms Mathew said.
“Only women can get pregnant. To suggest otherwise is not only biologically false but deeply insulting to grieving mothers who lobbied for this inquiry in the first place.”
Family First said the intrusion of gender ideology into an inquiry meant to support bereaved mothers shows just how far radical LGBTQA+ activism has penetrated South Australia’s institutions.
“Premier Peter Malinauskas and Liberal leader Vincent Tarzia cannot remain silent. The people of South Australia have a right to know whether the major parties agree with the falsehood that men can bear children,” Ms Mathew said.

“This is not a side issue,” Ms Mathew said.
“When bureaucrats and politicians deny biological reality, it undermines trust in government and in healthcare. Family First will stand up for truth, for families, and for protecting women and girls from the dangerous spread of gender ideology.”
