Measuring Transition To E-Governance In Iraq
To support Iraq’s efforts in advancing digital governance, ESCWA and the Iraqi Commission of Statistics and Geographic Information Systems (CSGIS) organized a workshop in Baghdad on measuring the transition to e-governance in the country.
The workshop, held on 23 and 24 April, brought together officials in charge of implementing the e-governance survey that was suggested by ESCWA in 2024. It introduced the core concepts of measuring digital transformation and provided an opportunity to review and discuss the proposed data collection form intended to be used by government entities.
Participants also explored practical steps and procedures for implementing the survey in line with Arab and international best practices.
