NALSPA Eyes Cost Cuts with Re-elected Albanese Govt

The National Automotive Leasing and Salary Packaging Association (NALSPA) congratulates and looks forward to working with a re-elected Albanese Government to help drive down the cost of living for everyday working Australians.

“We extend our congratulations to the Albanese Government on its emphatic re-election, and stand ready to work collaboratively with the government, and all parliamentarians, to further ease cost-of-living pressures for working Australians across metropolitan, regional and rural Australia,” NALSPA CEO Rohan Martin said.

“Our commiserations and gratitude are also extended to those unsuccessful hardworking Members of Parliament and candidates, notably Peter Dutton for more than two decades of service and commitment to our country.

“With cost-of-living pressures continuing to rise, working Australians are increasingly recognising the vital role that salary packaging and novated leasing services can have in helping to ease their financial strain. NALSPA welcomes the opportunity to continue to work with the new government to ensure these practical tools are best leveraged to help working Australians and their families.

“Importantly we also welcome the Labor Government’s ongoing support for the EV FBT exemption, which is helping many more Australians — particularly those working families living in the outer suburbs — to consider and afford to make the switch to cleaner, lower cost transport.

“The election outcome is a clear signal that everyday, working Australians support the adoption of low and zero-emissions cars to help reduce their living costs and carbon footprint.”
