New CT Scanner Boosts Imaging at Bathurst Health

Patients across Bathurst and surrounding communities now have access to enhanced medical imaging services at the Bathurst Health Service, with the hospital's new Computed Tomography (CT) scanner now operational.

The new $1.6 million CT upgrade strengthens the hospital's ability to assess and diagnose a wide range of urgent and complex conditions and delivers faster and more detailed imaging.

The CT scanner supports a broad range of clinical services across the hospital, including emergency, advanced cardiac, cancer and oncology, paediatric, and gastrointestinal care, as well as expanded CT-guided interventional procedures.

The upgraded room housing the new CT also helps create a more comfortable environment during imaging procedures, improving the patient experience.

Referrals are accepted from all providers.
