New fees and charges for biosecurity and imported food regulatory activities
Our biosecurity system manages the risk of pests and diseases that threaten Australia’s environment, agricultural industries and our way of life.
We undertake a range of regulatory activities and recover the associated costs. This ensures our biosecurity system remains robust, responsive to emerging risks and enables market access for Australian products.
On 1 July, we introduced new regulatory fees and charges to align prices with the cost to deliver biosecurity and imported food activities.
