New Training On Offer To Help Build Local Businesses

New training is now on offer to help Western Australia’s small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) better understand how to sell their goods and services to the WA Government.

The workshop, “Doing Business with Government”, will break down WA Government procurement processes and provide SMEs with tips on how to improve their success in responding to tenders.

Not only will this help build local businesses but improve the purchasing options for the WA Government.

Goods and services procured by the WA Government are worth over $30 billion a year, representing a significant and sustainable opportunity for local enterprises.

The training, which has been initiated by the Department of Jobs, Tourism, Science and Innovation and the Small Business Development Corporation, is now open for registrations.

There are two workshop sessions available and will be held at the SBDC offices:

As stated by Premier Roger Cook:

“My government is working every day to ensure WA’s economy remains the strongest in the nation.

“With more local businesses supplying to the WA market there will be positive outcomes for our economy and jobs staying in the State.

“This initiative will build on our record of achieving over 85 per cent Western Australian content in the State’s purchasing.”
