The future of Rozelle Bay is being transformed with planning underway for an historic new government-led precinct which will include 30 per cent affordable housing.
Minister for Infrastructure, Cities and Active Transport Rob Stokes said the stunning foreshore location and proximity of the future metro station provide a wonderful opportunity to invest in the future of Sydney and its key workers.
The plan includes:
🔘 30 per cent affordable and key worker housing to support key workers including teachers, nurses, emergency services personal and low-income families.
🔘 Continuing Sydney Harbour’s function as a working harbour.
🔘 Opening up public access to the foreshore through the provision of a world-class, generous walkway.
🔘 Preservation and protection of historic view lines to the White Bay Power station.
🔘 Contributions towards the restoration of Glebe Island Bridge.
