Infrastructure boost for R & R Care

Coffs Coast community organisation R&R Care Ltd is celebrating $40,000 in funding through the NSW Nationals in the state government’s Infrastructure Grants program.
Nationals Member for Coffs Harbour Gurmesh Singh said this funding will help R&R Care in their important work by providing improvements to facilities and services our community deserves.
“R&R Care in Coffs Harbour runs vital healthcare services to address the social needs of some of our most vulnerable residents,” Mr Singh said.
“It improves access to healthcare and reduces the impacts of social isolation and mental ill-health in our community through its preventative-focused connection program.
“The $40,199 grant will fund the installation of a solar-PV system on R&R Care’s Park Beach Road building, significantly reducing their energy consumption and making them even more financially sustainable.”
R&R Care CEO Daniela Shaw said: “R&R Care is so grateful for the support in the way of this grant. Any money able to be saved across the business such as electricity, will be put back into the services we provide for people living with a disability across the Mid North Coast.”
Nationals Minister for Hospitality and Racing Kevin Anderson said funding under the Infrastructure Grants program is made possible by the Clubgrants Category 3, which re-invests profits from registered clubs’ gaming machines into community projects.
“The NSW Government is committed to supporting communities and community focused organisations carry out the very important work they do,” Mr Anderson said.
“Since 2015, the NSW Government’s Infrastructure Grants program has provided $91 million, supporting more than 600 not-for-profit projects in sports, recreation, community infrastructure, arts and culture and disaster readiness.”
