Any extremist ideology that hides this scourge on Australia's good standing and reputation, that allows young girls to be treated this way, that turns a blind eye to the abuse of children, has no place in this country.
One Nation will always stand for an Australia that is free from ideologies that harm children.
Child marriage, or any attempt to excuse or ignore it, has no place in Australia. As reported in the Townsville Bulletin, many more cases go unreported. Think about that. Young girls are being married to much older men in backyard ceremonies. People in the community see it, know it, and say nothing. Not reporting it. Allowing it to continue.
This is unacceptable. It does not belong in Australia.
One Nation will root it out completely.
