Only Liberals Support Tasmania’s Regions
The Tasmanian Liberals are the only party serious about supporting Tasmania’s vital regions.
Premier Jeremy Rockliff reinforced this, standing on Flinders Island.
“Tasmania’s regions are the lifeblood of our State – they’re who we are,” the Premier said.
“Our Government has supported them through thick and thin, and we’re the only party committed to doing so.
“Throughout this campaign, we have announced policies that back this up time and time again.
“TasInsure will slash insurance costs for regional Tasmanians across the State.
“Our farmers, our tourism operators, our hospitality businesses, accommodation and everything in between will save money and be able to move forward with greater certainty.
“Here on Flinders, we have invested significantly in health, education and key support services.
“A key example is our successful delivery of the $7.3 million redevelopment of the Flinders Island Multi-Purpose Centre to improve access to health care services.
“During this campaign, we have announced policies that will support regional health. Expanding the scope of practice for pharmacists and paramedics, as well as training nurse practitioners, is key to delivering this support.
“We have supported the entire Flinders community through our landmark regenerative tourism project ‘The Islander Way’ – the first of its kind in Australia – to develop an approach to tourism and the visitor economy that will generate opportunity for years to come for Flinders Island.
“And importantly we’re backing this in with the infrastructure to facilitate it by providing funding to upgrade the Flinders Island Airport.
“Our Liberal team are offering a clear plan, a united team, and the leadership to get on with it.
“A majority Liberal Government is the only way to keep Tasmania moving forward with certainty, stability, and efficiency.
“This election comes down to one choice: a strong Liberal team with a real plan or another merry-go-round of chaos.
“Let’s get on with it.
“Let’s finish the job for Tasmania.”
