OSCE, Serbia Ministry Launch Youth Practice Program

The OSCE Mission to Serbia, in partnership with the Ministry of Human and Minority Rights and Social Dialogue, is launching recruitment for the 2025 – 2026 Professional Practice Programme. Now in its sixth cycle, the Programme will enable young professionals from south and southwest Serbia to work with state institutions for a twelve-month period beginning in September 2025.

Recent university graduates with an interest in public administration and current residence in Bujanovac, Medveđa, Novi Pazar, Nova Varoš, Preševo, Priboj, Prijepolje, Raška, Sjenica or Tutin are invited to apply by 10 August 2025. Participants will be selected through a merit-based recruitment procedure including a review of application materials, an online interview and a written test. Eligibility requirements and the application form are accessible at https://forms.gle/MYkLXoqQqgV36gyj6.

Participating institutions, where selected fellows will complete their placements, include the Ministry for Human and Minority Rights and Social Dialogue, the Co-ordination Body for the Municipalities of Preševo, Bujanovac and Medveđa, the National Assembly, the Ministry of Public Administration and Local Self-Government, the Agency for Prevention of Corruption, the Public Procurement Office, the Commissioner for Protection of Equality, the Ministry of European Integration, the National Academy for Public Administration and the Standing Conference of Towns and Municipalities. Fellows are integrated into the daily work of the institutions and supported by a mentor during their placements. Fellows also develop and implement a small project in co-operation with host institutions and the OSCE Mission.

The Programme supports increased understanding of the functioning of Serbia’s state institutions while working towards improved inclusion and greater representation of young men and women from minority and underdeveloped communities in south and southwest Serbia in Serbia’s public administration. The current cycle is implemented with the support of the governments of Norway and Germany. Investing in youth from across Serbia is central to the OSCE Mission’s youth mainstreaming approach, particularly supporting their participation in implementation of the rule of law in Serbia.
