
PA Data Center to Host User Conference May 15
Data users from across the commonwealth are set to gather at Penn State Harrisburg for the Pennsylvania State Data Center’s annual PA Data User Conference on May 15.
The annual conference serves as the state’s most comprehensive forum for research and development in demographic data. The event will take place from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in room 210 of the Capital Union Building.
Norman Bristol Cólon, chief diversity officer for the governor’s Office of Administration, will give the keynote address, titled “Using Data for Diverse Perspectives: Opportunities for Strategic Inclusive Growth.”
Jennifer Gibbs, associate professor of criminal justice at Penn State Harrisburg, will offer a plenary session on the demographics of sworn officers in small and rural Pennsylvania police departments.
