Perth To Host ‘Crown Jewel’ Of Global WWE Event
The headline event for this year’s WWE takeover at RAC Arena has today been revealed as Crown Jewel: Perth.
The event will be exclusive to Perth as part of a back-to-back weekend of three iconic WWE events and is expected to bring some of WWE’s biggest names to Western Australia.
Crown Jewel: Perth will pit champion against champion in both the men’s and women’s divisions, with last year’s event seeing Cody Rhodes and Liv Morgan triumph to become the inaugural Crown Jewel Champions.
Crown Jewel: Perth will take place on Saturday 11 October and feature 17-time WWE Champion turned A-list Hollywood actor John Cena.
It will follow WWE’s weekly Friday Night SmackDown event on 10 October, with the weekend to close out with the Monday Night RAW event on 13 October.
The premium trio of WWE events has never occurred in Australia and will be the only WWE broadcast events to take place in Australia, New Zealand and South-East Asia this year.
It is also the final opportunity for fans to see WWE Champion John Cena perform live in Australia as part of his 2025 farewell tour.
Crown Jewel: Perth will put WA on an unparalleled global stage, following WWE’s new international broadcast partnership with streaming giant Netflix.
The announcement comes amid a visit to Perth this week from Australian WWE superstars Rhea Ripley and Grayson Waller, who are exploring the city and its tourism offerings in anticipation of October’s WWE return.
The return of the world-famous sports entertainment brand to WA comes off the back of a hugely successful WWE event in 2024, with last February’s WWE Elimination Chamber: Perth attracting over 18,200 out-of-state visitors to WA and generating $36.2 million for the State’s economy.
The event also set records at the time as the most-attended, most-watched and highest-grossing Elimination Chamber event in WWE history.
A WWE Superstore will again pop up in Perth’s CBD, with thousands of passionate fans expected to flock to the temporary retailer after last years’ store saw crowds of fans queue up to get their hands on limited-edition merchandise.

As stated by Tourism Minister Reece Whitby:
“We’re thrilled to confirm that WWE’s return to Perth this October will be led by Crown Jewel: Perth, featuring WWE Champion and global superstar John Cena.
“The long weekend of WWE entertainment, with a Friday Night Smackdown, Crown Jewel: Perth, and Monday Night RAW, promises an action-packed line up that can’t be seen anywhere else in Australia, New Zealand, or South-East Asia this year.
“We’re confident this blockbuster line up of events will generate millions of dollars for the local economy as thousands of out-of-state fans travel to WA to witness the full suite of WWE premium content – and the last chance to see John Cena perform live in Australia.
“This event is part of our Government’s strategy to diversify Western Australia’s economy by growing the State’s tourism sector, bringing more major events to WA and boosting our night-time economy.”
As stated by Sport and Recreation Minister Rita Saffioti:
“Hosting Crown Jewel: Perth as part of three huge days of wrestling this October is a massive win for WA, particularly after the success of last year’s WWE Elimination Chamber: Perth.
“The incredible standard of RAC Arena and all our world-class venues means that we can host these global sports and entertainment events throughout the year.
“I can’t wait to see RAC Arena packed with visiting and local WWE fans this October, bringing an energy that is sure to be electrifying when John Cena and other WWE stars take to the ring at this Australian-exclusive event.”
