Congratulations to Sam Short on his Gold Medal effort in the 1,500-meter freestyle at the Commonwealth Games.
Sam’s a proud Queenslander who attended the Prince of Peace Lutheran College in Dickson.
Just last year I was proud to name Sam the Dickson Young Sports Person of the Year at our Australia Day Awards.
I have no doubt he has a very bright future in the pool ahead of him.
