Everywhere I go, small businesses are telling me about workforce shortages and the problem this is creating for their business.
We’re a constructive opposition and we’ve had a policy out there since June that would allow older Australians, those who want to work, to do so without it affecting their pension entitlements.
I say to the government, if there’s more that you can do, if you can extend it to those who are on unemployment benefits, those who have a capacity to work and a desire to work, then we would support that.
