Plumpton Community Centre Officially Opens Its Doors
Children and families in the fast-growing areas of Fraser Rise and Plumpton now have access to vital local services with the completion of the $17 million Plumpton Community Centre.
The community centre was officially opened today by the Hon Natalie Hutchins MP, State Member for Sydenham, and Minister for Government Services, and City of Melton Mayor Cr Steve Abboushi.
The Plumpton Community Centre is a purpose-built, integrated facility, supporting the needs of children, families and the wider community within the fast-growing City of Melton.
It was jointly funded by Melton City Council, with $10.9 million contribution from the Victorian Government through the Growing Suburbs Fund and Building Blocks Fund.
The centre includes kindergarten, Maternal and Child Health services, and a community space for programs and services to cater for community need.
The kindergarten program commenced at the centre in 2025, providing much needed places for 3 and 4-year-old funded kindergarten in the local area.
Community members are invited to celebrate the opening of the new centre and explore the facility at a community day on Saturday 28 June.
There will be free activities provided including an interactive wildlife display, a butterfly tent, and children’s art and craft activities.
Families will be able to tour the kindergarten and meet educators on the day. Bookings are not required.
