PWDA Survey: Changes To Disability Discrimination Act

The Disability Discrimination Act 1992 (DDA) is a law that protects people with disability from discrimination. It makes it illegal to discriminate against people with disability in areas like education, work, housing and services.
The Disability Royal Commission found that people with disability experience extremely high rates of discrimination and recommended reviewing the DDA.
The Australian Government is now reviewing the DDA and wants to hear from the disability community about how the DDA can be made better.
PWDA is writing a submission for the review.
By completing this survey, your answers will help us tell the government what changes are needed in the DDA to make it protect our rights and be better for people with disability.
This survey is open to all PWDA members, anyone with a lived experience of disability or who supports a person with disability.
The survey will close on Thursday 4 September 2025 at 5.00pm AEST.
The survey will take about 15 minutes to complete.
