🥫 CALL OUT FOR FOOD DONATIONS 🥫

Our Griffith team is running a small free food pantry at their office. If you help with any donations in the lead up to Christmas, that would be hugely appreciated. More from Max Chandler-Mather, Federal MP for Griffith:

For the past few months we have been running a small free food pantry set up out the front of the office. As the cost of living crisis has continued to get worse, we’ve found the number of people using the pantry increase. Anecdotally it seems like the people most likely to use the pantry are pensioners. On a political level I find it deeply enraging that over 3 million people can live in poverty in Australia – while the Federal Labor Government remain committed to spending $254 billion on the Stage 3 tax cuts giving every federal politician $9000 a year. But more on that another time.

In the meantime our office is using a bit of our budget to top up the pantry every week, but right now the pantry is basically emptying everyday so we need a bit of help!

From now until Friday the 16th of December, we’re encouraging donations to our pantry of:

– Pasta
– Rice
– Canned goods
– Long-life milk
– Pasta sauce
– Basic toiletries
– Shelf-stable condiments such as peanut butter, jam, vegemite

For a touch of Christmas flair, consider donating:
– Biscuits
– Shelf-stable Christmas cake
– Fruit mince pies
– Cake mix
– Canned fruit

We request that all donations are dropped off at our office (14/76 Old Cleveland Rd, Greenslopes) at the front desk during business hours (9am-5pm Monday-Friday).

Donations are very welcome from now all the way up until Friday the 16th of December 🎄 Thank you!
