Did you see that Elizabeth Watson-Brown – Greens MP for Ryan has called for Qantas to be re-nationalised? 👏👏👏
The wave of privatisation carried about by the Labor party in the 1990s, including Qantas, was a massive mistake that ended up costing ordinary people and putting money in the pockets of billionaires and massive shareholders.
And let’s not forget that when Qantas got a $2 billion handout from the Morrison government, it resulted in thousands of workers getting sacked, customers being stranded, & the Qantas CEO getting tens of millions as a reward.
Bringing Qantas back into public hands is an excellent start. Then let’s get the electricity system re-nationalised too!
