The Qld Labor government has promised to protect the rivers of the Lake Eyre Basin from fracking since 2015. A few months ago, after a drawn out consultation process, it was time for the government to act. But the gas companies are pushing back hard. Now these protections are hanging by a thread and we’re in danger of losing them altogether.
Come along to tell the Qld Labor govt they must rule out any new oil & gas activity on the incredible floodplains of the Lake Eyre Basin ✊
