🌳 MT COOT-THA'S FUTURE - HAVE YOUR SAY 🐨
Brisbane Sustainability Agency is running a Mt Coot-tha visitor survey as they develop the long-term plan for Mt Coot-tha's future.
We need your help to complete the survey and let them know you value Mt Coot-tha being free, publicly owned greenspace and want it protected and the quarry rehabilitated as part of the reserve.
Concerningly, the LNP Mayor seems hell-bent on pursuing public-private partnerships at Mt Coot-tha, despite the clear community opposition to privatisation. Handing over any parts of Mt Coot-tha to private developers would fundamentally change its status as a protected natural reserve, and create a dangerous precedent that could see more of Mt Coot-tha privatised.
Meanwhile, Council has again deferred the closure and rehabilitation of the Mt Coot-tha Quarry, despite promising this ahead of the last Council election.
