Out-of-control rent rises are pushing everyday people out of their homes. In Brisbane, we’ve just seen the steepest annual increase in house rent prices on record. The median unit price is at a record-high of $450 a week for a tiny two-bedroom unit.
The solutions to the housing crisis exist. We just need the government to take the steps to get it done – cap rental increases, build 1 million affordable homes and phase out negative gearing 🏡
