Qld is in a cost-of-living crisis like we haven’t seen in decades. And it’s hitting renters and first home buyers hardest.
Governments must do everything they can to ensure owner-occupiers and renters can stay in their homes. Freezing rents is crucial and something the state government can do right now.
That’s why today Amy MacMahon – Greens MP for South Brisbane will introduce a Bill to Qld Parliament to freeze rents for 2 years. This will give relief to thousands of renters across the state and allow time for the government to put in long-term legislation to manage this crisis.
