More from Trina Massey Councillor for the Gabba Ward:
Last night at a small ceremony with friends and family I was officially declared the Councillor of the Gabba Ward.
In what has been an amazing month since my announcement to the appointment, I’ve had such an energising and inspirational entrance to what is a huge job, but incredibly privileged position.
Thank you to all the residents, community groups and organisations who I’ve met in this month for their warm welcome and the learnings you’ve provided. To those in the community I haven’t met yet, I come to you ready to listen and work hard.
I want to thank the new friends I’ve met and their generous offers of friendship.
I share deep love and appreciation to my family and friends, you inspire me and have given me so much support through my life.
To the diverse communities I belong to, thank you for your pride and the joy we share.
To the Queensland Greens, thank you for your encouragement and confidence.
I start this role READY.
With much love, gratitude and solidarity.
Trina xo
