Yesterday Qld Labor voted with the LNP, the Katters and One Nation to continue locking up kids from just 10 years old in Queensland.

51 of the 52 Labor MPs didn’t even have the guts to speak on our bill and explain their position.

Meanwhile, primary school-aged kids are already in prisons and watch houses across Qld, and more will be put there in future.

But there is growing community pressure, from the 300+ submissions Michael Berkman – Greens MP for Maiwar’s bill, to the 200,000+ signatures on the national #RaisetheAge petition.

The old parties can’t delay forever – we will not stop fighting to raise the age to AT LEAST 14 and implement an alternative model of prevention, early intervention and diversion that actually works.
