At this time in 1989, our very own Wayne Goss was out campaigning against seven-term Queensland premier, Joh Bjelke-Petersen.
As we know, Wayne went on to win that election and form a Labor government after our Party had spent 32 years in opposition.
Wayne brought home this historic victory – he was a good man, a Labor hero, and an incredible Premier of our state.
