But it’s also important to make sure people can get professional support and care when they need it.
That’s why the Queensland Labor Government is providing an extra $1.645 billion over the next five years to improve our mental health, alcohol and other drugs services and to support suicide prevention programs.
The new five-year plan called Better Care Together will fund new beds for adolescent, young adult, adult, perinatal, eating disorder, older person, and crisis response mental health services.
And 1,400 new staff to deliver world-class mental health services and care.
Because we’re all in this together.
