My team has been contacted by families concerned about significant increases in their childcare fees. I have written to the Minister for Early Childhood Education to raise these concerns and seek clarity on
actions to prevent price gouging.In 2017, when rebates increased, I voiced to the Parliament my concern this could happen, that families would not feel the benefit. I said the same when the latest legislation passed. We need to ensure increased rebates make a material difference to families.
