Red Cliffs Library Plans Major Service Area Redesign
People visiting the Red Cliffs Library will soon be greeted by a larger and improved customer service area with work about to start on a major facelift this month.
Works include a new customer service desk layout, new carpeting and a general refit of both the customer service area and meeting room.
Councillor for Community Health, Wellbeing Troy Bailey said the library, including the return chute, would be closed for about two weeks from this Saturday 17 May to allow for the works.
“We know our libraries are important and valuable to our community, whether it’s the Mildura Library or the smaller libraries throughout our municipality, and with the expanded library services available for residents to borrow it’s great to see the Red Cliffs Library receiving this upgrade,” Cr Bailey said.
“Once completed, this refit will provide Red Cliffs residents with a fresh, modern layout and more space to take advantage of the services and items our libraries offer.”
The upgrade has been possible through the Victorian Government’s Living Libraries Infrastructure Program.
Red Cliffs Library users can use the Mildura Library during the construction period.
