Under Labor, spending has blown out by over $100 billion in just two years. This is not new programs - if you include that it is even worse. This is just $100 billion EXTRA for spending on existing programs that they got wrong.
This would be a major scandal in any private organisation.
The rules should not be different in Canberra. That's why today the Nationals team in the Senate are moving to establish a Senate inquiry to conduct an external and independent audit of government spending.
This government's economic mismanagement is pushing up interest rates and making everything more expensive for everyone. We need a government that puts the interests of Australians first.
