Australia stands with the people of Iran in condemning the regime's brutal repression of peaceful protests and its denial of basic human rights.
In the Senate, I called out these actions and endorsed the Australian Government's targeted sanctions on those responsible, including individuals and entities linked directly to the IRGC.
The Albanese Government recognises the courage, grief and advocacy of the Iranian people - including those in Australia - and will continue to act firmly with international partners in defence of human rights and international law.
