This is what Dr Sian Goodson, from the Royal Australian College of GPs has to say about Labor’s new patient tax: “Many practices will be forced to raise patient fees, reduce bulk-billing, or close their doors for good… this would result in patients who should have seen a GP instead turning up to hospital EDs.”
